I feel very lucky to have seen your roll cloud, as you say a very rare occurance. I was just thinking recently about the vast amount of images we take now on digital cameras. You to the photo websites and see these amazing moments taken in a split second. The photos of a fat man does a belly flop or as some naughty puppy reaches for the man of the house's family jewels and realise there must dozens of images either side of that memorable one. Before digital is must have been a small miracle that these shot were taken. It just makes those pre-automatic, pre-digital images even more special.

The cloud image is so compelling it is hard to even see the fighter jets--incredible amount of energy for what is basically a still picture.

I thought it was the weirdest thing that it took me a second to realize there were two fighter jets in this picture. The clouds just lead you to the center of the image. Beautiful!
